2021-2027 Period

Interreg IPA  Bulgaria - Türkiye Cross-border Cooperation Programme:

Programming studies continue within the scope of the 2021-2027 period. There is no change in the program area, and the budget is foreseen to be 33.5 million Euros. The call for proposals for the programme is planned to be announced in the last three months of 2022.

    1. Policy Objectives:

1) Policy Objective 2: A greener, low-carbon Europe

  • Promoting energy efficiency and reducing greenhouse gas emissions
  • Promoting the transition to a circular economy

2) PO 5: A Europe closer to citizens

  • Fostering the integrated social, economic and environmental development, cultural heritage

3) ISO 2:  A safer and more secure Europe

  • Improving migration management

Interreg NEXT Black Sea Basin Programme:

The programming process of the Interreg NEXT Black Sea Basin Programme 2021-2027 is ongoing. While the programming area and the participant countries remains same as 2014-2020 Programme ,the total budget of the programme together with national co-financing is 67,8 million Euro. 

Participating countries have agreed a set of of objectives and priorities for 2021-2027 period reflecting their specific circumstances and requirements, as presented below:

 

1) Policy Objective 1: A more competitive and smarter Europe

SO 1: Developing and enhancing research and innovation capacities and the uptake of advanced technologies

2)Policy Objective 2: A greener, low-carbon Europe

SO 4: Promoting climate change adaptation, and disaster risk prevention, resilience, taking into account eco-system based approaches

SO 7: Enhancing protection and preservation of nature, biodiversity, and green infrastructure, including in urban areas, and reducing all forms of pollution

Interreg NEXT Mediterranean Sea Basin Programme:

It is the first time that Türkiye has participated in the Programme and has been involved in the process since the first stage of the 2021-2027 preparation process. While the preparations for the Program Document are ongoing, it is expected that all documents will be submitted to the European Commission by December 2022.

The new era budget of the program is 244,413,550 euros. In this regard, the program is one of the EU's highest-budget cross-border Programmes.

Policy Objectives of the Mediterranean Sea Basin Programme:

1) Policy Objective 1: A more competitive and smarter Europe

  • Developing and enhancing research and innovation capacities and the uptake of advanced technologies
  • Enhancing sustainable growth and competitiveness of SMEs and job creation in SMEs, including by productive investments

 

2) Policy Objective 2: A greener, low-carbon Europe

  • Promoting energy efficiency and reducing greenhouse gas emissions
  • Promoting climate change adaptation, and disaster risk prevention, resilience, taking into account eco-system based approaches
  • Promoting access to water and sustainable water management
  • Promoting the transition to a circular and resource efficient economy

 

3) PO 4: A more social and inclusive Europe implementing the European Pillar of Social Rights

  • Improving equal access to inclusive and quality services in education, training and lifelong learning through developing accessible infrastructure, including by fostering resilience for distance and on-line education and training
  • Ensuring equal access to health care and fostering resilience of health systems, including primary care, and promoting the transition from institutional to family- and community-based care

 

4) ISO 1: Interreg-specific objective of a better cooperation governance

  • Other actions to support better cooperation governance
