The fifth meeting of the Task Force of Interreg NEXT Mediterranean Sea Basin Programme, which is one of the Cross-border Cooperation Programmes at external borders of the EU for 2021-2027 period, took place online on 24 June 2021.

The representatives from the national delegations from 15 Mediterranean countries as well as from the Programme's Managing Authority, the European Commission and TESIM participated in the meeting. Turkey was represented by the delegation headed by Ms. Şebnem Sözer, Head of Department of Union Programmes and Cross-border Cooperation.

During the meeting, the proposal on the Specific Objectives under the Interreg Next Med Programme, sectors of intervention, the new governance structure of the future Programme, and the bilateral technical meetings with the Partner Countries on the regulatory framework were discussed.
