As the deadline for the Second Call for the Black Sea Basin Programme 2021-2027 is approaching Last General Information Meeting Held Online

Within the scope of the second call for proposals for the Interreg NEXT Black Sea Basin Cross-border Cooperation Programme, which has a deadline of 28 June 2024, the Directorate for EU Affairs, the National Authority of the Programme, held a general information meeting online with a wide participation following several in-person and online events organized in different provinces in the eligible Programme area.

The meeting was attended by by Bülent Özcan, Director General for Financial Cooperation and Project Implementation of the Directorate for EU Affairs. In his opening speech, Özcan said, "The Black Sea Basin Programme, which has a total budget of 94 million Euros, offers important financing opportunities for our local institutions and encourages the rapprochement between us and the neighboring countries." He also underlined the importance of the contribution of potential applicants in this process in order to maximize the benefit of these funds as a country.

The meeting was carried out  towards all potential applicants as local entities of public authorities, local authorities, bodies governed by public law, educational and research institutions and non-profit organizations in the provinces within the Programme area. After the briefing on the Programme and the call by the experts from the National Authority, the questions of the participants were answered.
