The First Joint Monitoring for Interreg NEXT Black Sea Basin Programme held in Istanbul

Interreg NEXT Black Sea Basin Programme  for which our Directorate acts as the National Authority for the period 2021-2027 was approved by European Commission and then application package of the first call for project proposals under the programme was elaborated. The 1st call for proposals with €35.4 million will be opened in the first quarter of 2023 following the approval decision of Joint Monitoring Committee which is composed of the National Authorities in Programme countries.

In this context, the first joint monitoring committee of the Interreg NEXT Black Sea Basin CBC Programme programme was held in İstanbul in 7 February 2023. The representatives of the National Authorities from Bulgaria, Greece, Romania, Moldova, Ukraine, Georgia and Turkiye as well as the Programme's Managing Authority, the Joint Technical Secretariat, the European Commission and TESIM project participated in the meeting.

Our directorate was represented by the delegation headed by Serdar Öztürk, Deputy General Manager of the General Directorate of Financial Cooperation and Project Implementation. At the meeting chaired by the  representative of the Program Management Authority and Mr. Öztürk,  the main aspects related to the first call for proposals, the content of the Application Packs, project evaluation and selection rules, as well as the Monitoring Committee’s Rules of Procedure were discussed.
