Interreg NEXT Black Sea Basin Programme  for which our Directorate acts as the National Authority for was approved by European Commission and application package of the first call for project proposals under the programme was elaborated. The 1st call for proposals with €35.4 million will be announced in the first quarter of 2023 following the approval decision of Monitoring Committee which is composed of the National Authorities in Programme countries.

To officially announce the start of Interreg NEXT Black Sea Basin Programme for 2021-2027 programming period, the management bodies organized a Launching Event and Partnership Forum in İstanbul on 8 February 2023. During the event, participants shared experiences during the previous programming period, 2014-2020  following the presentations on the implemented projects during 2014-2020. In this context the project coordinator  of  "Zero Waste Strategy for a Good Environment-ZEWSGES project" successfully implemented by Namık KemaL University from Türkiye delivered a presentation.

The forum provided an opportunity for the potential applicants to establish a network and partnership with counterparts from the participating countries (Bulgaria, Romania, Greece, Georgia, Moldova, Ukraine, Türkiye)
