Türkiye Celebrated its 20th Anniversary in Interreg Programmes at the European Week of Regions and Cities

The Directorate for EU Affairs, which is responsible for the implementation of the Interreg Programmes in Türkiye as the National Authority, celebrated the 20th anniversary of Türkiye’s participation in the Interreg Programmes with a stand at this year’s European Week of Regions and Cities.

At the stand, Interreg IPA Bulgaria-Türkiye, Interreg NEXT Black Sea Basin and Interreg NEXT Mediterranean Basin Programmes, for which the Directorate for EU Affairs is the National Authority, were promoted with success stories, e-brochures and videos. 20 years of experiences and achievements were shared with the visitors. Parties shared experience in order to to strengthen international partnerships. The stand also hosted a quiz for visitors, which was a great fun.

During the week, a session was organised with Interreg Next Mediterranean Basin Programme titled, “Talents of the Mediterranean: Empowering Young People with Blue and Green Skills”. In the session, beneficiaries from Spain and Lebanon who implemented projects within the programme shared their professional experiences in the blue and green economy that were provided to young people.
