Online Training Delivered to Second Call Beneficiaries of the Interreg NEXT Black Sea Basin Programme 2021–2027

Within the scope of the second call of the Interreg NEXT Black Sea Basin Programme 2021–2027, an online project implementation training was delivered to beneficiaries by the Programme’s National Authority, the Directorate for EU Affairs.

The training provided information on key issues to be considered during project implementation, project implementation rules, procurement procedures, visibility requirements, and the use of social media. In addition, beneficiaries were informed in detail about the IVY Volunteer Programme, which enables young people to gain experience in the implementation of Interreg Programmes and projects.

Under the second call, 52 new projects with a total budget of EUR 51.8 million will be implemented with 224 partners. Of these, 44 projects with a total budget of EUR 44.5 million include Turkish partners, involving 60 Turkish partner institutions. The projects will be implemented in the fields of environmental protection and green infrastructure; water resources management and pollution reduction; sustainable agriculture and food security; sustainable tourism and protection of natural heritage; climate change mitigation and adaptation; youth participation and social innovation; waste management and circular economy; protection of coastal and marine areas, sustainable fisheries and aquaculture; and disaster risk reduction and crisis management. The project contracting process is ongoing. A face-to-face training will also be organized in the coming period.
