Joint Monitoring Committee of Bulgaria-Turkey IPA Cross Border Cooperation Programme was held in Edirne

The Joint Monitoring Committee Meeting of the Bulgaria – Turkey IPA Cross Border which is co-chaired Bulgarian Ministry for Regional Development and Public Works, acting as the Managing Authority of the Programme and Ministry for EU Affairs of Turkey, acting as the National Authority, has been organized in Edirne on 29 June 2016.

At the Joint Monitoring Committee meeting, Bulgarian Ministry for Regional Development was represented by Deputy Minister Mrs. Denitsa Nikolova and Turkish Ministry for EU Affairs was represented by Financial Cooperation Director Ms. Beyza Turan. Among other participants were Deputy Governors of Edirne and Kırklareli as well as experts from the Joint Technical Secretariat. In addition Director General for Regional and Urban Policy Ms. Ann-Jasmin Krabatsch from the Regional and Urban Policy Directorate was present at the meeting on behalf of the European Commission.

During the meeting the progress of the Interreg IPA Cross-border Programme Bulgaria-Turkey 2014-2020 was reviewed and information was presented on the evaluation report of this period. In addition the studies within the context of the recent call for proposals, which is currently at the project evaluation stage, were monitored.
