OVERVIEW AND OBJECTIVES

The Interreg NEXT Mediterranean Basin Programme is one of the largest EU-funded cross-border cooperation programmes under the Interreg framework. It promotes regional partnerships among Mediterranean countries to address common challenges such as environmental sustainability, inclusive economic growth, social cohesion and good governance.

The programme has been active since 2007; however, Türkiye officially joined during the 2021–2027 programming period.

PROGRAMME MANAGEMENT

National Authority (Türkiye): Directorate for European Union Affairs, Türkiye

ELIGIBLE PROVINCES

Türkiye: Tekirdağ, Edirne, Kırklareli, Balıkesir, Çanakkale, İzmir, Aydın, Denizli, Muğla, Antalya, Isparta, Burdur, Adana, Mersin, Hatay, Kahramanmaraş, Osmaniye, Manisa, Afyonkarahisar, Kütahya, Uşak.
