Edirne and Kırklareli SMEs Met for the Preparation of the Call for Environmentally Friendly Cross-border Cooperation

SMEs who wanted to participate in the call in Edirne and Kırklareli showed great interest in the project preparation trainings, information meeting and partnership forum.

An information day was held as a continuation of the information meetings held in Lüleburgaz, Kırklareli and Edirne Chambers of Commerce and Industry for SMEs who want to prepare environmentally friendly projects within the scope of the Cross-border Cooperation Programme. On the Information Day, SMEs learned the details of the call and found answers to their questions.

Since preparing a project with a Bulgarian partner is one of the conditions for applying to the Programme, SMEs from Haskova, Yambol and Burgas, which are the Programme areas of Bulgaria, and Edirne and Kırklareli SMEs met at the Partnership Forum. SMEs who wanted to prepare projects for the Programme had the opportunity to easily meet and establish partnerships with potential project partners who continue their commercial activities in the same fields, thanks to the Partnership Forum.

Within the scope of the programme, Project Preparation Trainings were given to Edirne and Kırklareli SMEs by Hüseyin Aktürk, an experienced name in his field, within the framework of the issues indicated by the call. Micro, small and medium-sized enterprises in Edirne and Kırklareli will be able to benefit from the “environmentally friendly cross-border cooperation” project call for proposals opened for them for the first time within the scope of the Bulgaria-Türkiye Cross-border Cooperation Programme. SMEs in the fields of manufacturing, accommodation and food services activities, transportation and storage, information and communication in Edirne and Kırklareli are expected to apply for the call by preparing projects with Bulgarian project partners in the same fields. Within the scope of this call, SMEs will be able to present projects promoting energy efficiency and reducing greenhouse gas emissions, as well as encouraging the transition to a circular and resource-efficient economy. The application deadline for the call is 13 March 2024, and during this period, project partners are expected to submit their projects to the Programme’s common electronic monitoring system (JeMS).
