European Neighbourhood and Partnership Instrument (ENPI) Cross Border Cooperation (CBC) closing and European Neighbourhood Instrument (ENI) CBC launching conference has been organized on 15-16 November 2016 in Brussels, Berlaymont building of the European Commission. Turkey participates in ENI & ENPI CBC Programmes thanks to the Black Sea Basin Cross Border Cooperation Programme whose National Authority in Turkey is the Ministry for EU Affairs.

Bringing together representatives of European Commission, Programmes’ bodies (Managing Authorities, Joint Technical Secretariats, etc.) and National Authorities from 26 EU member states and neighbouing countries as well as Russia as the strategic partner and Turkey as the negotiating candidate country, the conference  was carried out as panel debates and pleanary discussions on different topics and contents. The CBC unit coordinatior of the Ministry for EU Affairs, Ms. Şebnem SÖZER, took part as the speaker in one of those panel sessions and she gave examples of a CBC projects that have made an impact on people’s lives in Turkey and she also shared a brief overview on the Thematic Objectives selected for the Black Sea Basin programme and their relevance for Turkey.
