This year, the spirit of 35 years of European cooperation is being celebrated with flour, sugar, and a generous dose of joy! As part of Interreg’s anniversary, the #InterregBakeOffChallenge has turned ovens on across the programmes — and cakes into sweet symbols of unity.

Türkiye, a proud part of this cross-border journey for 22 years, has added its own flavour to the celebration. As the National Authority for the Interreg NEXT Mediterranean Basin Programme, the Interreg NEXT Black Sea Basin Programme, and the Interreg IPA Bulgaria–Türkiye Programme, the Directorate for EU Affairs rolled up its sleeves! We mixed the dough, chose our recipe, and baked a cake that reflects the spirit of cooperation. With the motto “Bake together, share together,” we created a sweet symbol of Interreg. Through this fun and meaningful challenge, we joined the call to celebrate shared goals, cross-border friendships, and the power of teamwork, all with a delicious twist.
