The Managing Authority of the Interreg Next Mediterranean Sea Basin Programme has completed the Turkish part of the information tour for the second call of the Programme. The information series #GREENMEDTOUR was held with the strong participation of potential applicants preparing to apply for projects in the cities of the programme region.
The representatives of National Authority of Türkiye, namely, the Directorate for EU Affairs, Managing Authority of the Programme, Autonomous Region of Sardinia and Joint Secretariat Offices were present at the events.
EU Affairs Expert Övünç Güneş from the Department for Cross-border Cooperation, at the Directorate for EU Affairs, representing the National Authority of the Programme and Martin Heibel, Communications Manager of the Managing Authority delivered the opening speeches.
First of all, a quiz competition was organized to measure the knowledge of the participants on climate change within the scope of the second call for proposals prioritizing green transformation, and there were pleasant moments in the competition.
Following the presentation of the vision and mission of the programme, recommendations on how enabling a collective climate action can be possible with the green transformation projects to be prepared within the scope of the call and the implementation of the projects to be implemented were shared with the participants.
The event also included detailed presentations on the rules and requirements of the call. Participants were informed about the points to be considered in the preparation of project applications and the criteria for the evaluation process were shared with potential applicants by the Managing Authority and the National Authority. Participants also had the chance to find answers to all their questions during the interactive question and answer sessions.
The call is 83.7 million euros and its deadline is 15 April 2025. Click here for the details of the call.
