The Monitoring Committee Meeting, which meets at regular intervals, was chaired by the Managing Authority of the Programme, Autonomous Region of Sardinia, with the participation of representatives of the countries participating in the Programme, as well as officials from the European Commission (DG REGIO) and TESIM, which provides technical support to the Interreg Programmes.
The third meeting of the Monitoring Committee for 2021-2027 period took place in Valencia, where the latest developments in the Programme were discussed. The agenda focused on the results of the first call which will be announced soon. Projects prepared under the thematic priorities of a more competitive and smarter Mediterranean, a greener, low-carbon Mediterranean, and a more social and inclusive Mediterranean opened under the first call, the evaluation of the projects developed in these themes, as well as projects youth under the same thematic objectives, were discussed. In addition, projects prepared under the priority of better co-operation governance for the Mediterranean under the first call were also evaluated and the selected projects approved.
In the meeting where the support to be provided by the Programme in technical areas such as signature of grant agreements, technical and financial management, communication and monitoring for the projects to be implemented within the scope of the first call was also discussed. Collaborations to be carried out with the projects of different programmes in the same fields in order to expand the impact of the Programme were also discussed among the participants. The perspective of the European Commission for the post 2027 period was also conveyed to the participants at the end of the meeting.
