Call for Proposals for the Cross-border Cooperation Programme in the Mediterranean Sea Basin Announced

Interreg NEXT Cross-border Cooperation Programme in the Mediterranean Sea Basin, one of the highest-budgeted Cross-border Cooperation Programmes in the European Union with a budget of 281.4 million Euros, launched its first call for proposals.

Applications can be made under following policy objectives; “a more competitive and smart Europe”, “a greener, resilient Europe that moves towards lower carbon consumption towards a zero-carbon economy”, “a more social and inclusive Europe that implements the European pillar of social rights” and “cooperation in governance”.

Project applications can be submitted by partnering with institutions in the countries participating in the programme. Project proposals must include partners from other participating countries; can include maximum two partners from the same country. At least 3 countries must be involved in the projects to be developed within the scope of the partnership principle of the programme, and these partnerships must include at least one EU member country and at least one non-EU country. Projects must be designed for a period of  24 to 36 months.

Project applications can be made from Tekirdağ, Edirne, Kırklareli, Balıkesir, Çanakkale, İzmir, Aydın, Denizli, Muğla, Antalya, Isparta, Burdur, Adana, Mersin, Hatay, Kahramanmaraş, Osmaniye, Manisa, Afyonkarahisar, Kütahya and Uşak. Public institutions, municipalities, universities, associations and foundations, chambers and commodity exchanges and all profit-oriented legal entities from these provinces can apply.

The application deadline is May 30 2024.Project preparation trainings, information meetings and a partnership forum will be organized for institutions and organizations interested in the call during this period. Click here to access the text of the call for proposals of the Programme.
